Unusual Black Velvet Chair

Another amazing chair design by, we think, BYografia. Perhaps this wouldn’t look good in your average stately home but we suspect the designers had other more contemporary locations in mind 😉 Cleaning inbetween the gaps might be a bit tricky and the care regime can prolong the life of fabrics very considerably. (Wasn’t that a bit of a boring comment for so wonderful a chair!!) Sorry!!

I like this Andrew Winch laminated staircase, in fact I’m generally a big fan of laminated glass. (So much for being in the fabric industry!).

I’ve got some great photos in the V&A museum where there is a similar component to one of their architectural features. Great colour and light from something that is…almost colourless.

Gold and mirrors from 1508 design. Great wall textures, colour scheme and details. The photographer has chosen what appears to be an expansive view of the appartment, it would be interesting to explore this space from many angles. It is probably an unusually shaped room, beautifully designed.

Anouska Hempel hallway – superb architecture and interior design. We normally present images with a significant fabric content and, yes, there is some present here but along with bathrooms and kitchens this is an area of a house often devoid of fabric. Anyway we love the architectural lines of the stairwell as well as the juxtaposition of that with the bannister design. Colours are perfect and the curves flow beautifully everywhere – from the stairs to the mirror to the log basket.
