Quick answers

What is KOTHEA raffia wallcovering made from?
KOTHEA’s raffia wallcoverings, Basket Weave, Fushi, Maldives and Soneva, are 100% cellulose and supplied 106 cm wide. The Albero, Chevron and Stardust wallcoverings are also 100% cellulose at 106 cm. Reed Raffia is the exception: 75% viscose and 25% cotton at 140 cm wide. All ranges are supplied to the trade with a minimum order of 5 metres.

What does untrimmed wallcovering mean?
Untrimmed wallcovering is supplied with its edges left on, so the edges are trimmed before or during hanging to give a clean butt join. Most of KOTHEA’s 106 cm cellulose wallcoverings are supplied untrimmed. Confirm the hanging method with your decorator before ordering.

What fire rating does wallcovering need for a contract project?
In the UK, wall linings in contract projects are assessed for surface spread of flame under BS EN 13501-1 or BS 476 Part 7, and the result depends on the wallcovering and the substrate tested together. Confirm the classification your project requires, then contact KOTHEA about certification for the specific range. For more detail, see our wall panels and headboards guide.
