Yep it’s a good idea, especially in commercial spaces. We even got asked for faux leather for contract curtains recently – the ultimate black-out window treatment. Great in terms of cleanability although you have to be very careful when specifying the FR compliance.

We like the unusual off-white faux leather upholstery on this circular, sunken seating area. A much more refined version of the increasingly popular BBQ pit. KOTHEA white faux leather upholstery is emminently suitable for this type of area with high levels of durability for home or contract applications.
April Hamilton have made excellent use here of an unusual black, faux snake skin upholstery on the rear of this sofa. KOTHEA faux hides (including faux leather and faux snake skins) are ideal for the designer who has texture and ease of ongoing maintenace in mind. Faux snake skins are FAR more practical than the real thing – imagine exactly how you would upholster a real sofa with snake skins that might only be 40cm wide…a LOT of joins. However faux snake skins are quite hard to get hold of – essentially because they are seldom used by interior designers….not rare, just unusual.
Some nice Textured Upholstery on the sofas in this interior from Armstrong Keyworth. This looks like a warehouse conversion of sorts. Nice combination of clean new lines with renovated brickwork. Textured upholstery is always a good route to take when considering the fabric in your interior scheme. It’s not just about colour schemes texture and touch are also important to the people who will end up living there.
Great Faux Leather Upholstery from Area Sq in this great commercial office space. Beige faux leather such as this might seem too-light a colour choice. However faux leather is exceptionally hard wearing and highly suited to contract environments such as this. Many KOTHEA faux leathers have a Martindale rub test exceeding 100,000 rubs (some over 200, 000) – so very durable products that will last the test of time if suitably cared for and upholstered. ‘Real’ leather will be MUCH more of a problematic option both in terms of the initial cost AND the cost of care and maintenance.
Classically straightforward hotel design from Anouska Hempel Design @ The Hempel hotel in West London. Been there, done that – albeit a while back. And very nice it was too. Not too much farbic on offer however some nice linen sheers adorn the windows at the back if you look closely enough!
Pink chairs grey walls and a very subtle pink at that. Nice combination. Nice room – similar upholstery samples are available from us, here.
